Here’s how Facebook trimmed a recent comment of mine on my profile page:
The full, original comment was, “Happy Birthday! [line break] [line break] (I love the butterfly post),” referring to this status update she had posted: “…entomologists observed a rare butterfly struggling furiously to emerge from its chrysalis. One carefully cut it free, prematurely, so it wouldn’t have to struggle. As a result, the butterfly was unable to fly, since the full struggle to break from the chrysalis was what pumped vital fluids into its wings…”
